I am one of those blue collar workers that lost a job three years ago and now in school full time.
These types of jobs usually ends up with lay-offs because companies may belly-up.
I are smarter
because we're educated than them and highly needed by the company to boom the business.
White collar workers are usually high rank employees in many companies, and blue collars workers are usually ranked much, much lower. When considering layoffs or cutbacks, most companies start with the lower/bottom ranked employees, the blue collar workers.
