My initial bias from the photos at the top of the article. AP is a rather clear photo with a recognizable, famous face. Reuters gets...a less attractive image. But then again, AP does have that 10 million photo stash...

Not saying Reuters is inferior. They're both excellent wire services of equal value to newspapers and broadcasters worldwide. I just prefer Associated Press one percent more that Reuters but I visit both their websites daily.

The AP is what I grew up reading. AP articles are accessible and their images are powerful and in abundance.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because Reuters put a lot of weight on private interests in their reports and therefore have less politically and economically neutral articles. It's simply bad journalism.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago

Associated Press' and Reuters' content is impartial but AP's journalism makes the articles flow well whereas Reuters' journalism is too objective and blunt and sometimes the articles do not flow well.

Reuters writers make the world reconcile academic language and reality. Associated press writers are killing the precious archaic language of higher class.
