It is renewable. No worries about toxic nuclear waste(am I wrong?) Geothermal energy costs only 5 cents per kWh to produce, making it 50% lower than the cost of producing power from fossil fuel sources(source: http://recomparison.com/comparisons/100859/geothermal-energy-vs-fossil-fuels-its-time-for-a-change/). Do not like nuclear power plants and do not like mountain top removal mining of coal...etc etc etc.

Geothermal energy is a more renewable source of energy than Fossil Fuels. There are many reasons as explained in this article as to why geothermal energy is better than fossil fuels such as cost, power output and less emissions. However, I would like to say that the only problems I believe there are with geothermal energy is that for one, the pumps have to be quite close to the site the power will be used. Not sure everyone would like a power plant that close to home.
Two, there have been cases where earthquakes were caused due to a geothermal energy plant and three, I believe another source of power is required in order to power the pump for the geothermal plant to produce energy.
