i was taught more about Hitler then Stalin in school
he is bad
because of the holocaust
he's a bad man
Both led hard lives, but in my personal opinion, I think Stalin is rather overlooked. The ‘bad guy’ of WW2 is typically Hitler, I had heard of Stalin before we started looking at WW2, but I didn’t know a great deal about him, I knew much more about Hitler. Hitler, along with other fascists of the time, was responsible for killing many millions of people worldwide. However, since it was war and except for the six million Jews he murdered, most could be written off as casualties of war. But Stalin murdered upward of 20 million of his own people, personally I think that killing people of your own creed is worse, but only slightly. Looking back, I think Stalin is just distrustful and angry were as Hitler was bitter and completely insane.
because he started the war so they must know something about him beacuse the teachers teach about him.
His kills are more widespread particularly the holocaust
He started the second world war
because he is more taught and spoken about throughtout the world i believe.
the holocaust is more known about in modern society
Its hard to know about him. That's like not knowing about Charles Manson.
because he is a beach
he was genus he had great pride and hes a **** kid
Adolf Hitler IS A LEGEND ITS THAT SIMPLE
Adolf Hitler is a LEGEND!
Because he was known for the Holocaust.
The entire Cold War period.
none
The Soviets have always been good at hiding information from the world at large.
The Holocaust is and has easily been exposed as a gruesome genocide...fewer people have an interest in Big Brother's brutality, especially when he's not loud and proud like Hitler was about his massacres.
black
Hitler said that each individual German would have their own city in the world. He wanted Germany to the superior and only race of the world and if succeeded wining the war he could have done more damage than Stalin could have ever done. In the end Hitler rose to power from nothing as he fought from World War 1 to rising to be the most powerful man In world war 2. He did this with his own influential voice and easily manipulated Germany through one speech to rule the world.
Adolf Hitler is displayed as the worst man that has ever lived in modern society. When describing World War 2 many people focus on the main theme that the allies were the 'good' guys and the axis were the 'bad' guys. However, saying that Stalin actually killed more people then Hitler, would make this untrue. Instead many people just generally gloss over the facts about communist Russia at the time and just focus on how Adolf Hitler was evil.
Because... Just because :S
Stalin kept most mass murders in his country. Hitler mass murdered in every country he entered
Hitler is much more widely known, at least in America, for his brutality than Josef Stalin.
Because of the second world war.
Hitler was the Public Enemy Number 1 in the Western media, whereas Stalin was this good, albeit mysterious and slightly cruel leader who was a neccessity in fighting off Nazism
Because of the genocide of the Jewish people, he will be forever known as one of the most notorious and ruthless leaders of the world.
He is more commonly known as a tyrant and more widely blamed for his and his partyies actions
We study more about the Holocaust than about the Russian Revolution.
Hitler is more known because in every history class that covers world war II covers Hitler and his major role in the forming of the **** party and his views that in a sense started the second world war.
Hitler...primarily because he tortured people to kill them. Stalin just had them killed
He murdered people on an industial scale and fought the entire world in WW2.
i can remeber in history class when we would talk bout world wars the most spoken name was adlof hitler
i believe that due to the secretism that prevailed in communist Russia, more is known about Hitler than Stalin. Hitlers atrocities were more publicized due to this.
Because Hitler was a boss. Also, his hatred for the Jews was recognizably accurate.
jamie chomay is stupid and likes adolfs tiny three inch **** in her bum
Adolf Hitler is widely known for the Holocaust. America fought against Hitler in WWII, with Russia, and I think this is why more people see Hitler as and enemy. Hitler also started the Holocaust.
Because he was blamed to be "the bad guy", he lost the war and all cons were sent to him .
Although both were awful tyrants, Stalin killed his own people for the sake of the people. Hitler was trying to take over the world, while Stalin was trying to become a superpower. Stalin was much worse of a villain over all, but was Jewish. The threat of Hitler's army coming to take over the world was a fear that is still in the hearts and minds of everyone in the world. While Stalin made coal out of his people, he left in his wake another fear that is still very prevalent... communist dictatorship. While that is always a fear with communism that is not all forms of socialism. Hitler had his own dictatorship and his own version of what the world should be like. Many comparisons can be made between Hitler and other figure heads in history, like Alexander the Great. One of the biggest similarities that these two had was they wanted to conquer the world with influence of their countries. One of the greatest differences between the two is that Hitler got greedy with his cultural purity. Great Britain was the same way in many many situations. This is the same thing that's happening all over the world now with the mergers of western cultures and business trade. The concept of materialism is spreading like a virus, like the third Reich. This is some thing that is going unnoticed all over the world. We need to open our eyes to the new invisible figure head that is taking our world with the vehicle of our thoughts. That figure is capitalism.
Hitler was a person who acted while he thought!
World War II/The Holocaust/Anne Frank's Journal
Heil Hitler
He killed the Jews, GOd's chosen people.
more info about Hitler vs Stalin
because he was the cause of the biggest war of all time.
In my opinion, Hitler created the largest impression on the world.
The Holocaust.
i just know
not many people know about stalin but almost everyone has heard of hitler
Hitler started WW2
We learn most about Hitler's faults our whole lives and usually Stalin's faults are shadowed by Hitler. Hitler gets much more negitive attention then Stalin does and I think its mostly because Hitler has a weird mustashe.
Most people have heard about WW2 and the terrible tyrant kill everybody
Because i have never heard of Joseph Stalin before.
Stalin was more secretive than the others. His regime was much more isolated as a result of intense media suppresion and foreign policies. Stalin would arrest or kill anyone that had exposure to the Western World as his paranoia that Freedom of Speech or Western democracy would infect the ideals of Communism. Stalin wanted the people to be stuck in his regime. Russian media an speech was severly controlled by the Stalinist regine. History books, newspapers, films were reviewed by Communist officials to be approved for publication and even altered to support Stalin even thru lies.
because he murder over 20 million jews and because he tried to create an elite race people with characteristics that he didnt even have
He eliminated all the jews and was the one responsible for starting WW2
hiter killings were by far more grusome
the haulocaust
its a fact
Because in grade school in America we were taught of the slaughter of Jews and other ethnic people. Our teachers only glanced through communism.
The "Hail Hitler" strong arm sign is used more often as a joke, so I believe more people recognize the name. Plus, children tend to hear more about Hitler than Stalin.
Because Adolf Hitler was widely known for causing the outbreak of WWII and the Holocaust which killed six million Jews, homosexuals, blacks, Christians, Gypsies etc.
because **** is all people talk about.
He is more famous.
It is extremely rare that I here a bad remark about Joseph Stalin. However, I often hear about how evil Adolf Hitler was. The West media created Hitler into a demon, and turned away when Stalin killed millions of innocent men, women, and children.
Because he's the one that started wwII
he is more known to everyone and learned about at a greater extent in schools. there seems to be more proof and this was so cruel into detail of what he did to the Jews
Because he was one of the most wanted people plus he killed millions of innocent people
Because he is famous for his race cleansing which was the biggest scale in world history ever.
hh
Adolf Hitler is known more for the killing of the jews
Hitlers persecution of the Jews was such a extreme form of racism that still can be seen in other ways even today.
the holacost
Because he caused WWII
Because
Hitler was covered in the news more than Stalin. As Stalin had been around for a while and Hitler's activities were more newsworthy at that time.
ww2
bc
He was the main cause of WWII. you hear about it more in history books.
He is in our history more than Stalin. We fought agains Hitler not against Stalin. Stalin was putting people to death while we were fiighting Hitler.
Because the history of USSR is not yet fully explored and there are VERY few people (and even they are undercover) who sympathize to Hitler but there are open supporters of Stalin (e.g. Putin). Adding to that Hitler is known as a tyrant, killer, the one who started Holocaust and Genocide, nazist, fascist, the one who killed one's grandparents, great-grandparents, parents, brothers or sisters - a very bad person. But what do some people still think about Stalin? Stalin - father of proletariat, people were killed without Stalin's knowing that, all the ones arrested were guilty in something, that measures were needed, I even spoke to people who sympathized to Stalin because of architecture he had created in the USSR. But what did he really do some people tend to forget - kill millions of people, create genocide inside of his own countries in order to avoid any problems or conflicts in Moscow and save himself. He advertised and propagandized the horribleness of Adolf - that is why people know about Adolf but did Khrushchev really (and fully say) what Stalin did? No! He pointed out what he did that was not related to Khrushchev himself - he did not say that he overworked the quotas for killings just to seem a good worker to Stalin. Let us remember that Stalin even prohibited any propaganda against Hitler from 1939 to 1941. Much of information about Stalin is still under TOP SECRET label in Kremlin but Democratic Germany revealed most of information about Hitler. Some people believe that Stalin won the war - he had nothing to do with the victory and the war itself after 1943 when the **** troops were in Moscow. He destroyed cultures of most of countries such as Uzbekistan - where I (myself) am from. My great-grandfather was a children writer and a editor of the Soviet Radio - I believe that made him avoid the death. But many friends of our family - GREAT writers as Khamid Alimjan, Abdullah Kadiri etc. They all were shot near the river where now is museum of the repressed.
Well documented
Hitler is the most well-know of the two, because Stalin was an "ally" during the second world war, so as a result the allies didn't want to damage the friendship between east and west by rendering him evil.
Stalin has had cover provided by the Left in the West while Hitler, the enemy of Stalin and therefore the Left in the West, has been depicted ad infinitum in Western books and movies.
because we learn a lot more about Hitler than Stalin
I choose Adolf Hitler because every person knows about World War but not many know about the Great Purges
Everybody always talks about Hitler and the holocauust but no one really mentions Stalin
he is like a plauge a viris he caused w w 2 nuff said
i am german nuff said
hitler was racist with his ethnic cleansing and seemed to anger more people than stalin did because of the growing liberal population
being that he was defeated at liberty to turn over more stones and learn more about him. stalin on the other hand may have died a natural death, and the program he was a part of was not ended till early 1190. In other words people didn't have the liberty to critique him at will, particularly russians. Germans on the other hand are very sensitive on the subject of hitler. This is a sore spot that coerces them into working hand in hand with other peoples they may not prefer to.
Even though Joseph Stalin killed more people than Adolf Hitler, in my opinion, Adolf Hitler and the **** are discussed more.
Well It
i learn him in english
he a bum
most peopel remmeber the holocaust and recognize himas the sole reason for World War 11, as well as a connection with Gemrnayt for starting world war 1. Though neither of these statements are full truths, especially the latter, it is what the common kowledge appears to be in this world.
hes a bad person
I have never heard of Joseph Stalin
pop
Adolf Hitler is one of history's most infamous dictators along with Stalin. People probably know the most about Hitler because he was everyone's enemy during World War II and Stalin was allied with the Allied nations. At the end of World War II, the world saw the horrors of the Holocaust which makes Hitler a hated man. Stalin however murdered more people than Adolf Hitler did.
Ever since middle school kids would talk about him.
Due to his hand in the holocaust. The cause of misery and deaths of others.
BECAUSE HES A ****
he is known all over the world for being such a powerful **** and killing millions of jews. n ot alot of people know what joseph did.
The Holocaust
idk
Because his **** and him are known to have killed Anne Frank who was famous for her journal and writing down what happened during the war
project
owr hitory
because he has sexual intercourse with many jewish homosexuals, some of whom still pass on the AIDs virus upon innocent americans. Also
some say Hitler faked his death.
Holocost
i've never even heard about joseph stalin
Jewish-American propaganda.
Adolf Hitler played a really big role in American History. Which is exactly why he's in our History books. Meanwhile, it seems as if Stalin's doings were more of a secret to the outsiders...
Because of the holocaust to make things short
I learned more about Hitler.
Grew up learning about Hitler and only learned about Stalin from personal research
People know about Adolf Hitler worldwide because the west are allies with Russia. Although not so much now throughout both world wars , Russia has been an allie. Both men were trechourous and insane , however, more people know about Hitler because of the almost 'covering up' of Russia.
Most notorious man
I learned more about him in school
He is the prime suspect for plunging earth into world war ii
Holocaust is something many people are familiar with.
Hitler's atrocities are more commonly studied in western nations.
people are more familiarr with hitler than with stalin.
His thirst for political view and possession, not to mention his mass histeria and sick thought of the Jews....
I HEARD MORE ABOUT HIM, I ALSO COULDN'T UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE WERE COULD FOLLOW AND LOOK UP TO SOMEONE SO HORRIBLE
because all schools learn about world war 2 and the holocaust and thats wall what Hitler caused so he seems to be the most important to most student of Joseph Stalin.
because
Teachers and the U.S history books talk More about hitler than stalin
because I have heard more about hitler
He is widely known at my school
more is know about hitler than stalin
the holocaust
I have always learned about the destruction and devastation cause by Adolf Hitler and not until recently did I realize that Joseph Stalin could of arguably be a worse dictator.
Never heard much of stalin
Western civilization tells little about Russian tales
just seems way more evil
BECAUSE THE HOLYCOAST HAS HAD A MUCH BIGGER REMINDER OF KILLED UNNESSASERLY?
This is so because most people are familiar with the Second World War and the person who sparked it. They are not to familiar with countries or rulers who fought in it. So I am of the opinion that most people know about Adolf Hitler and not Joseph Stalin
Adolf Hitler is more widely known today because he wanted to spread his ideas and control all over the world. He was a tyrannical and murderous dictator.
Because Hitler being so blown out of proportion over his mass killings of the Jews. They pretty much had it coming to them and look at today who holds most the money, go figure. As far Stalin he killed many many people just as well as Hitler. Both were huge killers of people, Stalin loses because he didn't execute enough money mongering Jews. The whole mess is ridiculous and a joke. Hitler was into theatre as well as art too, that's what I really think it eventually became to Hitler in killing the Jews off one by one: A MADDDENING AND SICKENING APROACH TO ART & THEATRE!! He was always overcome by both it just lastly overcame him instead. Class over.
because adolf hitler was more populour and a bigger war criminal
hitler was a bigger war criminal
he was monster insane hilter
there simply isn't enough awareness about the evils of stalin as there is the evils of hitler
Adoplh Hitler was known for the holocaust which caused the deaths of millions of Jews, Stalin was a silent killer in his own country, which people never truly heard of.
The first thing I learned about history was the third Reich.
cuz its true
he is more commonly known because of the history of ww2 in school and the teachings about the holocaust.
In my opinion, I find Stalin to be much worse than Hitler. Hitler had groups of people to target where as Stalin killed indiscriminately killed. He even killled his own people even thought he had roughly the same targets as Hitler. People know more abiut Hitler because he was om the enemy side. Stalin and the Soviet Union were on the allied side. So we (The American People) didn't really need to worry about Stalin. Hitler made it very clear that he hated Jews, homosexuals, and the mentally/physically disabled. Stalin just killed anybody who he thiught were traitors and many people made fake accusations and the KGB (Secret Police of The Soviet Union) thiight they were true resulting in millions of deaths. But Hitler had a clear agenda that killed less people (6-10 million people is still alot, I'm NOT saying it isn't a big deal).
Because most people of don't know that Stalin killed more Jews and all so killed 60 million people during his time in power Hitler only killed 37 million in total
everyone knows about Hitler because thought middle and high school the teacher teach about the holocaust.
He is blame for World War II
fuuuuuuuuuuu
because the US doesn't want people to know that during the war, we became allies with some of the worst people to ever live.
The allies including Joseph Stalin won the war so the others atrocities were made public and frightening easier it was only until the start of the cold war were the extent of what Stalin did made public. Especially with the speech given about three months denouncing Stalin as a criminal. We knew Hitler we had to learn about Stalin.
I think Hitler is more known Hitler lead the war for the Axis power and lead the holocaust. Also the allies were able to document Hitler's atrocities and no one to this day has a full documented file on how many people Stalin killed. Also the **** were good at record keeping documenting all of the people they killed. In Stalin's Russia millions of people died and to this day no one know their name. So when they died from starvation or were shot by a firing squad not one guard bothered to fill out a piece of paper or note the prisoner's name as they threw the body into a shallow grave and bulldozed it over.
who the **** is joseph stalin?
Concentration camps
I believe he is a lot more infamous in history and symbolism endorsing him is widely curtailed, even till date !
his actions were more noticeable then stalin's
his stash
his one **** that i wanna put in my mouth
**** u
WW2 brought the war in Germany and Hitler closer to home, so to speak, for the US. Fewer GI's ever saw Russians, and we knew less about Stalin's history in our media.
Because he destroyed many people
hitler killed more
People know about the holocaust more than they do about Stalin and the Great Purges or the Gulags.
Because it is more taught in school, he had more control over other countries than his own while Stalin had a lot of countrol but mostly in his own country.
Because we learn more about him in school.
ik abt him
Cause I know more bout hitler than Stalin
Hitler is blamed for WWII, the biggest event in world history, while Stalin is a mere player in WWII. Hitler's Holocaust is a more widely known event of genocide compared to Stalin's purges.
More is known about him.
Even though Joseph Stalin murdered nor people, Adolf Hitler was twisted on practically every way. Both were murderous, but the insanity of Hitler made him much more famous. You would be surprised to see just how many people have never even heard of Stalin, but I think that everyone has heard of the great and terrible Adolf Hitler!
The Holocaust, everyone knows this by basic History classs
Its just true peeps
Stalin = MAN
with in a short span of time adolf conqured the german throne and killed many people and he has strong desire to conqure the whole world
wwII
yolo
Countless books, tv shows, and movies about Hitler. The number of deaths under Stalin dwarfs those under Hilter but Stalin somehow has escaped the scrutiny and demonization hitler has rightly received.
History portrays him as racist Versus the way I remember perhaps incorrectly from early school in which Russia just slaughtered Germans as revenge.
I was born in post WW II Germany. I saw the devastation left by American strategic bombing. I studied German history of the mid 20th century. I learned of the **** rise to power, and the consequences.
hail hilter
we've talked about the holocaust a million times in school.
Because he killed a lot of Jews in the Holocaust
You learn about him in school
because the holocaust is more nationally talked about
because so many people talk about ww2 that he is engraved into our minds but no body talks about stalin even though he is worse
I had selected the first option: Adolf Hitler. I had selected this because I think that more people know about Hitler than Stalin for many reasons. The first is because he is the leader of **** and he dominated half of the Earth. He had killed many, not only but mainly Jews. More know of him because he is heard everywhere, T.V, news, games, and mainly school. The first time I heard of Stalin was when it popped in the related websites next to Hitler when I was answering my brother a question.
Adolf Hitler wins big time. He is widely known and will never be forgotten (though we should try to do so.) He was the dictator of Germany and changed the name to N.a.z.i Germany. He had dominated all of Europe, practically half of the globe. He is responsible for the creation of the holocaust, where not only Jews but mainly them were sent. He also sent anyone that isn't mainly German. So if you didn't speak the language, or if you hid Jews, or even if you had any Judaism in your bloodline, even if you weren't. He is so insane, that he would rather commit suicide than be arrested by Russians (which he did.) He even created a specific mustache that is hysterical. (The mustache is besides the point now moving on..). He's number of murders is so great, that even on the other side of the earth, his name echo's in our ears and gives us nightmares 70 years later! We even spend six weeks in school learning about the mini anti Christ. Another reason he's famous is that if it wasn't for him, many story's and books would never have been in existence, like the diary of Anne Frank for example. If it went for him, Treyarch would never had the idea of: Zombie mode in call of duty because it originated from Nzi zombies. I could go on and on, but we would be here for days, weeks, months even. About Stalin on the other hand, I never heard of name until the website pulled up from nowhere.
Cunteloupe
yes
because I know nothing about Joseph Stalin.
i know nothing about stalin
meme.
It was the leading cause of WW2
Hitler always portrayed by media as murdering monster, whereas Stalin and Communists are often portrayed as American allies against Nazism. In media and movie land,it's almost as if Communists were a gentle force
because
he killed the juice
Its what you hear and learn about mostly. Everyone knows the jews dying but barely anyone the Russians..
many people know him as a murderer because of the holocaust. Not many know what Stalin did that ruined the world
because the Holocaust is a much more studied topic whereas fewer people know about Stalin and his mass murdering
He is most recognizable in both Wartime propaganda and memorabilia.
cause fam i like chicken noodle soup
Most schooling focuses more on Hitler. Up until 9th grade we hadn't even mentioned Stalin in school.
cuck
Because of the holocaust.
cause many people know him
Hitler was the "villain" of WWII, and since Russia were the "allies", we treat their mistakes with leniency. Also, Hitler is the straw-man of far-right racist ideologies, which further attracts attention to him.
because Americans went into a direct war against him
I learned more about him.
jews in hollywood keep making movies about him.
cos he was a bit of a **** to dem jews, and burnt dem asses off
Because his actions were much worse
minecraft!
because he is a dumb **** **** **** **** sucker who killed people I hate him so much!!!!!
world war 2
There are a lot of books and movies about Adolf Hitler and there is only one movies about Stalin as in 1945 America and Russia were fighting together in the great war. Hitler was the loser. So America let movies about Hitler release and not about. The one movie "Stalin" which I talked about was never really released. It's a great movie you must watch it. And also there is the schools teaching more about Hitler as it's easier to understand than knowing about Stalin and also Hitler is very famous for his holocaust and murder of Jews.

we've been taught most about him
He is most talked since the aftermath of world war 2 and was the most taught in history classes following with a lot of media (books, movies/documentaries and even video games).
I've heard more
hi hera a lot about him
Taught it more in school
HE was a bigger and more noticeable figure because he directly & purposely caused more trouble.

Mahn, we got a lsn on adolf Hitler
Ask the jews
IDK
The answer is complicated. Was Hitler's bahavior any worse than what happened in Nanking? Why do we ignore many of the victims of Hitler's regime (homosexuals, blacks)? Why was Hitler specifically made the poster child of evil in modern times? It's easier to pick a single apex villain and simplify them beyond recognition. It works well for mass consumption and generalization. However, this simplification leads us to repeat our mistakes because we fail to understand them. If I say anything more in our current climate of "tolerance", i'm likely to suffer severe consequences.
Killed 6 million Jews, main reason for ww2

Because the schools (at least where I'm from) are left driven and wants to portray a good view of the left and a bad view of the right. Therefore we are mostly thought about hitler and the holocaust etc, I think both were bad
because people think he caused ww2 even though he didn't.
Most of Hitler's time in power revolved around World War 2 and that is what a lot of students study throughout there time in school. A lot of history textbooks also tend to focus more on the holocaust than the amount of people Stalin killed.
