he had a beautiful baritone voice.
Elvis had a huge vocal range and could sing many types of music .....Rockabilly,Rock n Roll,Blues, country, gospel, rock, disco and even a touch of opera! He put so much emotion into his songs.No-one comes near!
just had so much feelinng in his voice
elvis presley could sing anything and covered many genres including rock n roll, blues, country and gospel and each song he sang he made it his own
King of Misic! no comparison, there is Elvis and, after, (way down)come everybody else
His voice was just more pleasant. MJ sometimes sounds a bit weird.

the king of the music...elvis !!!!!
He is the King
Elvis was the best voice of the world.
ELVIS HAVE BRILLIANT VOICE!!! HE IS THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL!!!
Nearly 3 octave range, very versatile vocal color, could sing many styles, was a great stylist.
The quality of Elvis voice is most often described as soulful. It had an 'aching sincerity and an indefinable quality of yearning virtually impossible to pigeon hole'. His three-octave vocal range was exceptional, 'very narrowly all at once a tenor, baritone, and bass'. A 1987 article in the Village Voice included an assessment of his voice in classical terms, categorizing it as a 'lyric baritone but with unexpectedly rich low notes and astounding high notes'. Elvis emoted and projected better than virtually any other singer. Rollingstone Magazine rated Elvis at #3 of all time best singers of the 20th century. He could sing in any genre and contemporaries and non-contemporaries alike, as well as vocal teachers (university level) have commented on his wonderful gift.
his songs are timeless and he just had a way better voice.
elvis has the best voice in the whole world he is the king of rock n roll thts why he was called tht the guy i sjust amazing
Elvis is the greatest singer in rock, country, gospel. No doubt Elvis had the most incredible voice of all time!
elvis was bass bariton and tenor singer and his vocal range was over 3 octaves you can hear him singing to prove it in state i ve never heared michael singing bass for example
because Elvis is the greatest his voice is so beautiful powerful in short he is the King of music
elvis forever the best!!
Els is best of the best !!
ELVIS lives forever
Nothing to explain, ELVIS sounds like nobody ! You only read what John Lennon said about ELVIS, BEFORE ELVIS THERE WAS NOTHING and Bruce Springsteen.....ELVIS IS MY RELIGION.
There wasn't, isn't and won't be anybody like Elvis. He is the King.
He could sing anything with or without a microphone. He was the king
No comparison.
MJ had a four-octave voice? Please. Even on his official site, it's listed as 3.6.
And alleged range has nothing to do with being better.
Elvis sang ALL kinds of music. The King of Pedos could only sing pop.
Elvis wins. Again.
Elvis forever.
elvis singing many different styles of music and made them all perfectly well
..because Elvis was a bigger impact! with his huge charisma, vision and talent, Elvis changed the music forever, like asteroid that caused the extinction of dinosaurs! he really could change his voice from song to song! Elvis never stopped singing, he didn't need a concert outside America to be what is today! To understand the phenomenom, 1 in 3 people on the planet watched Aloha from Hawaii in 1973. Nobody had ever this audience, even if after the technology has improved! i really like Michael but he is JUPITER and Elvis is THE SUN!!
it's one the one for ever
He was the most versatile and popular singer ever
THE KING OF FOREVER.
King!!!
if you like elvis no explanition needed if you dont no explanition will do
NOTHING COMPARES TO ELVIS. ELVIS IS MY HEROE !!
HE'S THE BEST
ELVIS UN ANTES Y UN DESPUES PARA LA MUSICA
Elvis tenía la mejor voz. Sin duda.
El unico el rey
kings of kings king of music ELVIS
"Elvis sang ALL kinds of music. The King of Pedos could only sing pop.
Elvis wins. Again."
Elvis could & did sing anything - Wacko could only sing in a high pitch girly voice
the king of the music....:D
ELVIS FOREVER AND EVER AN EVER..........MY HEROE !!!!!!!
THERE´S ONLY ONE KING AND ONE SPECIAL COMPLETE PERFORMER !! ELVIS FOREVER AND EVER !
JUST THE BEST EVER
King Of Music fOREVER!! EL VERDADERO
FELICIDADES ELVIS ES DEFINITIVAMENTE EL REY!!
Elvis no tienen rival!
King forever is the best!!
Elvis was a better voice also was very carismatic good looking cool etc etc etc.
Elvis un amor
Elvis the best!
The King ¡¡¡¡

Jacko admiraba a Elvis.

Elvis sing perfeckt Rock an roll, gospel, country, pop and blues.
because he rule 5 different music genres
low and masculine
Low and ****, not high-ish like a female.
Elvis sang a greater variety of styles and was successful in any genre he tried. He sang blues, gospel, R&R, R&B, country, pop, opera-style ballads, etc. Also, Elvis ALWAYS sang live and never lip-synched during his live performances.
cause he was the king of music
the king!!!
Elvis is the King.
EP sang more gospel than MJ.
Elvis had a great voice..Mj sounded like a girl..his voice never matured!
Elvis ownes.
Because it's the truth! I love MJ as well but he nor noone else was given Elvis' vocal range!
it was dynamic in so many ways, the voice changed over time..listen to jailhouse rock and then listen to hurt....the power , the range, the inflection in certain areas of a song ... michael had a nice voice in the jackson five but later in life there was screeching, various hiccups....eeee aaaaaaahhhhh....michael in his music makes lots of sounds , but vocally his pitch changes and goes right into making sounds
Saying that Elvis is an icon doesn’t quite cut it. There’s really never been anyone else who’s come along since that could fill his mammoth shoes in terms of talent, looks, style, presence and star power– and likely never will be. Don’t even think the words “Michael Jackson”, no way. Not. Even. Close. Jackson took a lot of style cues from Elvis, from his trim black pants, white socks, and black loafers– and obviously his slick dance moves were a tribute to the King’s infamous gyrations first unleashed back in ’56 on “The Milton Berle Show” and “The Ed Sullivan Show.” Those infamous performances (for which he was paid handsomely for, and drew ratings that were off the charts) instantly made him public enemy #1 with parents (who feared the effect that his racy “colored” music would have on their kids) as well as self-appointed decency censors and morality police across the nation.
3."Elvis Presley is like the 'Big Bang' of Rock 'n' Roll. It all came from there and what you had in Elvis Presley is a very interesting moment because, really, to be pretentious about it for a minute, you had two cultures colliding there. You had a kind of white, European culture and an African culture coming together - the rhythm, okay, of black music and the melody chord progressions of white music - just all came together in that kind of spastic dance of his. That was the moment. That's really it. Out of all that came the Beatles and the Stones, but you can't underestimate what happened. It does get back to Elvis."
-- Bono of U2
Elvis Presley has been described variously as a baritone and a tenor. An extraordinary compass- the so-called register -, and a very wide range of vocal color have something to do with this divergence of opinion. The voice covers two octaves and a third, from the baritone low-G to the tenor high B, with an upward extension in falsetto to at least a D flat. Presley's best octave is in the middle, D-flat to D-flat, granting an extra full step up or down. Call him a high baritone. In 'It's'now or never', (1960), he ends it in a full voice cadence (A, G, F), that has nothing to do with the vocal devices of R&B and Country. That A-note is hit right on the nose, and it is rendered less astonishing only by the number of tracks where he lands easy and accurate B-flats. Moreover, he has not been confined to one type of vocal production. In ballads and country songs he belts out full-voiced high G's and A's that an opera baritone might envy. He is a naturally assimilative stylist with a multiplicity of voices - in fact, Elvis' is an extraordinary voice, or many voices.
Henry Pleasants, in his book 'The Great American Popular Singers' (1974)
On his live versions of songs like 'How Great Thou Art' (1975), 'Unchained Melody' (1976) and 'Hurt' (1977), you will be able to hear how high he can go; but, it is essentially on 'What Now My Love' (sang live at his 'Aloha from Hawaii' global telecast, which reached 1 billion viewers when first aired in 1973), where he goes up three octaves at the end of the song, that you can really hear his true vocal power.
Cory Cooper on Presley's vocal range, as published ALLEXPERTS.com, February4, 2005.
'Elvis' lowest effective note was a low-G, as heard on 'He'll Have To Go' (1976); on 'King Creole' (1958), he growls some low-F's; going up, his highest full-voiced notes were the high-B's in 'Surrender' (1961) and 'Merry Christmas Baby' (1971), the high-G at the end of 'My Way' (1976 live version), and the high-A of 'An American Trilogy' (1972); using falsetto, Elvis could reach at least a high-E, e.g, as in 'Unchained Melody' (1977), so, it was very nearly a three-octave range, although more practically two-and-a-half'.
George Barbel
Elvis had alot more range and control
Could sing anyting.
Elvis sings anything
Elvis sings anything
elvis could sing evevything
Elvis all day he never had plastic surgery
He had a stronger variety of music - religious to country to pop - and he was excellent at all of them!
When singing romance to women Elvis has a certain touch
Just listen to him sing. Obvious.
i like the elvis voice
jackson could never sing gospel!
Elvis had an amazing voice, talent, charisma, and he was first person to do something in everything he did. He had an amazing range in his voice that let him be able to sing all kinds of music. He could sing Rock 'n' Roll, Pop, Country, Gospel, and Rhythm & Blues. Elvis also had an awesome career. From his early years in the 50's, the Army years, the Movie years, the '68 Comeback Special, and the Vegas and Concert years in the 70's. Elvis truly is "The King."
ELVIS HAD A INCREDIBLE STAGE PERFORMANCE THE GREATEST VOICE IN THE RECORDED HISTORY THE KING FOREVER
both
Michael had a beautiful, very expressive voice but Elvis for me is the definitive voice! Greater than Frank Sinatra or anyone else1 Elvis's voice was more versatile and adaptable to a wide range of musical styles. And he was perfect looking too! Michael was obviously an amazing dancer and songwriter too, same as Prince! We are blessed to have had these amazing artists in our lifetimes!
Yes
I think Elvis personified the superstar entertainer image. He was inspired by a number of artists like Michael was, and morphed different singing and dancing techniques into his own unique style. No one can ever top his incredible voice in my opinion. He is beloved by the world as is evidenced by the thousands who still visit his home 42 years after his death.
potato
ELVIS will always be ' the King'of Rock & Roll.Elvis sold over a billion records. Every Elvis fan knows there history.Do your homework.
I think elvis is the king of music and he's voice is better than Michal Jackson voice
a lot of feeling and emotion. his vocal range was amazing
i like elvis presley because he's kind and generous and can sing and dance at the same time. he's a sweet heart.
Elvis could sing gospel, blues ,rock, soul pop, ballads and even opera.
cant
you hear that !?
his voice is powerful and soulful! he is versatile!
His voice is better
he could sing without a microphone.
elvis presley nobody could beat him at singing rest in peace elvis u will always be the best
m.j is a kiddie fiddler like garry glitter
He will endure. He could sing different type of music - rock and roll, gospel, country, African-American. He also showed more emotion with his singing. For example, The song, All I can dream shows this emotion. He is still a legend years later. I wonder if in 50 years, if Michael Jackson will be remembered.
Please - no comparison - Gospel - Rock - Blues - Ballads - Country.
Hands down Elvis - even academics agree!
Elvis could sing anything and sing it great - the facts are the facts

his book "The Great American Popular Singers".
"Same voice in and out." Obviously someone who doesn't have an ear or even heard Elvis sing. What an ignorant statement!
"...I suppose you'd had to call him a lyric baritone, although with exceptional high notes and
unexpectedly rich low ones. But what is more important about Elvis Presley is not his vocal
range, nor how high, or low it extends, but where its center of gravity is. By that measure, Elvis
was all at once a tenor, a baritone and a bass, the most unusual voice I've ever heard".- Gregory
Sandows, Music Professor at Columbia University, published in "The Village Voice".
"...Elvis was a (Gospel) singer par excellence. On "Milky White Way", (1960), he' got the strength
of a bassman and the sweetness of a tenor. The heritage we have in Elvis' gospel music is a gift
to the world".- Paul Poulton, in "Cross Rhythms Magazine"
Elvis is the King!
