Because all was better 100 yeras ago. I wish I had been there.
Moral values are dead this days relationships are getting broken this days
It seems like 100 yrs ago everything was running smoothly but now it's the opposite wish we had a time machine if we did I would go to 1916 and live there
Wow. That was actually a very difficult question. I picked 100 years ago but in reality we also had a lot of progress happen in that hundred years. So on one hand some things where much better back then, but on the other hand we have had some major improvements on some things, however we have become worse on much more. Yet again we go from one extreme, we the human race, to the other. I just hope we survive long enough for things to balance out when we get tired of all this insanity in todays world. Or everyone will do what they do now and just sit around complaining and waiting for someone else to do something about it. Or simply blame another, even when the it is not their fault or maybe the circumstances are much, much more complicated then main stream media or ANY politician makes it out to be.

There wasn't as many bad people
People don't seem to have the same morals now, that people who lived 100 years ago had. It seems that today so many people are lost. They are lost in technology, but lacking common sense. People are not even together, when they are in the same room. Instead they are talking to someone hundreds, possibly thousands of miles away, that they don't even know. Even worse, they believe that they know this other person. It doesn't seen that many people really connect anymore. Children aren't really brought up, they just grow up. There isn't even much room for imagination for children these days. Apparently toys are no longer fun, unless they "do" something. What ever happened to playing, and imagination? I remember playing outside for hours, and having so much fun! My grandmother would even come out and play games with all 11 of her grandchildren. We would have family get togethers, where everyone, including the adults would play softball. I remember the adults playing horseshoe,while us kids would play hide and seek, tag, or even catch fireflies at dusk. Dinner was a time where we sat down as a family to eat. There wasn't the interruption of tv, cell phones, or other electronic devices. And did I mention that we ate a home cooked meal? Also we all ate the same foods. Yes,I ate spinach, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, green beans, or whatever other vegetable I was given. We prayed together before every meal. I am not 100 years old. I am 42. I would give anything to go back to living the way that I grew up. I was raised by parents and grandparents, who still believed in the way that they were brought up. It's just so sad that this way of living is becoming a thing of the past. It's extremely sad, that so many children are missing out on the simplicity of these things. Children these days have so much, but so little. Children are truly being cheated by parents and a society, that believes that they are doing them as favor.

Religion has become almost a crime in America; no longer is prayer or serious Christmas music allowed in schools, for example. Either America is going to change the course that it is on, or we are going to sink like the Titanic, in more ways than one.
Parenting is a real struggle today. I was born in 1954 and my upbringing is so foreign to today's youth. We are raising 2 teenage boys and issues of morals, manners, respect, common courtesy, etc..., need continuous attention. The work has been hard and at times nearly abandoned, but keeping their future in mind and knowing the value in such teaching has brought such powerful moments of gratitude. It is such a joy to hear other parents comment positive feedback and realize the time and effort my husband and I have invested was worth " the tough love ".

because there are many advantages than disadvantages.even the invention of technology on that time is not as many like now, yet people can live in harmonies without worried.
I chose 100 years ago because of the cheapness of the food and clothes and the fear that everyone has now.
Because if you needed help, you didnt need money to buy it. You could go ask your neighbor and they'd help you out.
