I have been to both places, AC does not come close to Las vegas. Lets not forget the freemont experience downtown Las Vegas is also a great place to check out after you are done with the strip. Las Vegas is way cheaper, and has more entertainment.

Atlantic City has no race course anymore, more ghettos in the populated casino area.

las vegas is 1,000 times more exciting than atlantic city. atlantic city is cool, but it doesn't compare to the glitz, glamour and constant excitement of vegas. anyone who's been to both knows this.

Las Vegas is a great deal more than a gambling spot; it bears the spirit of the Old West and therefore romantic and offers many more amusements. Whereas it is true that Atlantic City offers the natural beauty of the ocean and surrounding aquatic areas, it never quite persevered to be an all-purpose vacation destination as did Las Vegas. In other words, with few live performances, perhaps no movie complexes or varied other attractions, off-season Atlantic City has little to recommend it if you seek recreation other than gaming.

Atlantic City has looser slots. We win there quite often, where in Vegas we didn't win much at all. On top of that, I love the ocean and the breeze that comes off of it. Las Vegas is a lot drier and hotter- in the summer!

Atlantic City as a beach.

Inexpensive drive vs a very expensive flight especially with multiple people! 4 people drive from NYC to AC is $120 round trips vs $2800 round trip. wow.

New Jersey is provincial. So many bosses with so many rules ignorance multiplied by ignorance. New Jerseyans will never understand, it's nothing personal, it's just business! Las Vegas is the real thing and it's all about business, nothing personal there!
