My reasoning may not be flawless, but AMD must try harder, because I have never heard of them.

AMD is garbage, but good to keep Intel's prices down. Not that I wouldn't run AMD, I have one in my HTPC. I would never run one in my personal system.

I bought an HP computer that had an AMD chip. It was so slow I couldn't stand it so I returned it. I bought the same quality HP computer with an Intel chip and it was sooooooo much faster than AMD it was like night and day. Returning the AMD processor computer for the Intel processing computer was the best thing I've done in months!

They are faster at nearly every task. However I have to agree with this article and say AMD puts out a great product for the price I don't realy mind 40 fps for
$300 instead of 70fps for twice the price. Plus standerd video is 32fps if its good enuph for tv its good enuph to game at.

The I-7 seems to be the best processor. However, the AMD equivalent is a better buy than the I-3 or I-5. Both are good and will provide a great computing experience.
