If you do a true apples-to-apples comparison, Costco comes out on top
every time. It's what they do best - shop on behalf of their members to make them happy.

I find costco to have more of a selection in all item on their racks. Their fruit selections are superior. BJ's has a better deli & meat counters, they caters to the individual orders, and do not just have the options in the refridgetated areas. Price wise they are comparable

BJ's pricing is getting closer to traditional store pricing. Unfortunately BJ's continues to raise prices, while reducing product sizes and greatly diminishing product offerings.

wow the clothes are high quality and allows for the no brainer mentality of picking up an impulse item based on quality and brand for incredible value!the household item selection does not exist at BJS as it does at its' highly successful competitor...food items and the many demos entice you to buy at Costco.

Costco beats BJ's in overall pricing. Costco prices are not only lower but most of Costco's Kirkland brand items are excellent and really save you money. Costco believes in E-Verify, pays their employees better wages and provides health benefits even to part-time employees of 25 hours. Costco doubles the time of manufacturers warranties, offers free telephone concierge service to answer and help with questions, which is really useful with electronic items. Costco takes returns with no questions asked. Costco has great meats and great bakery items. Costco offers many more items than can be stocked in the warehouse on their website and almost all of these items are shipped for free and in a timely manner.

Prices are better at Costco. I can get a 4 pound pack of bacon at Costco cheaper than a 3 pound pack at BJs.

BJ's is a poor imatation of Costco. Longer and slower lines. A lack of inventory and lesser quality items. BJ'S seem disorganized compared to Costco.

Costco has way more selection and great credit card to boot. It's no comparison!

much more high quality foods. BJ's on the other hand has a full service deli which is great for all fresh sliced meats and cheeses. Costco needs to get with it and get a true deli in each store.
