Dogs love to eat what their humans eat. I can't see a coyote or fox digging up potatoes or carrots. Munching on green beans or peas doesn't seem likely for them, either. My dog loves them.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
I have seen dogs crave vegetables and also dig them up in the garden.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
I chose this because I feed veggies to my dog, she also likes apple, pears, and some melons too. I make her food, chicken or beef heart, liver, and lots of veggies, cabbage, peas, sweet potato, green beans. I also add rice, or potatoes some times pasta. Wild canine often/usually eat the stomach contents first, or so I have read.

They are opportunistic feeders, meaning protein is not always available
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
All throughout winter, a coyote seems to rely on this type of food as the other animals -- usually its prey -- either die off or hide away fro the season.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
It says that Coyotes are opportunists, so why not take the opportunity to eat veggies too when meat isn't available?
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
