Violin has sexier sound.
it has shorter strings which make it louder
1. Violin's sound is clear while guitar is just from a pluck
2. While all the guitar does is pluck, the violin can pluck AND bow (though the guitar's strumming sounds much better than the violins)
3. Other than being able to bow where a guitar can't, a violin can also create glisses and vibratos and many other cool sounds
4. Playing the violin seems more exquisite than playing the guitar
5. The beauty of the back and forth of violin bows adds to the beauty of its sound where guitars usually are forced to live their poor, lonely, worse-than-the-violin lives by playing only by themselves

Violins also are more awesome, therefore, they can always play better than guitars, its just a matter of if a guitar actually sounds good enough to challenge them to make them need to defend their title of fourth most awesome instrument (first is recorder, second is piano, and third is an empty spot just in case I forgot something or it turns out violas are better, and I was lying, recorders are SO LAST PLACE, besides, of course, string <-The household item, not the type of instrument, I love puns)

Guitars remind me of corn grinding in a mill and I do NOT like that sound because it makes me flinch. The violin also makes a smoother sound. It was developed earlier and therefore is better. It has a imperial, touching sound. ( The E string still is loud though.)
