you cant turn it off
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
gamma rays are dangerous because the have higher frequency and shorter wavelength, and the are originate in the nucleus.

superman?
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
because gamma rays damage human tissue cells and damage DNA cells
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Radioactive , kills cells, more energy damage to tissure cells
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
higher frequency.

Gamma rays are given out as byproducts of fission, they are highly unstable and originate form radioactive substances. X-rays, on the other hand, are hardly harmful and is encountered by human beings in our daily life, without any harmful complicatations.

deep penetrating and higher energy radiation that can damage dna easily
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Gamma rays have higher energy, and so will cause more damage
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
My teacher told me that. We are studying the electromagnetic spectrum in physical science.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
it can cause ionized radiation which is harmful to tissues.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
can cause damage to the cell tissue
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because it's the truth.

iam radiologist
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
because has a higher frequency so penetrates more into the body
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
beacuase it is
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because one time I farted and a gamma ray split my pants seam.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Gamma Ray because she used to Papa Ray. Even if she becomes the X Ray she still be Gamma Ray and whoop me with a switch
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because I **** my mother **** pants.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because its wavelength is extremely very very small due to which corresponding energy and frequency becomes extremely very very high.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
short wave lengths, higher energy
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because it's true.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
It causes much more harm to cell bodies than x-rays
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
further my knowledge of science..........
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because gamma radiation carries more energy and carries it further.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
higher energy can ionize more...more destruction to liviing cells.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
it has a higher concentrated frequency
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
It is has a short wavelength hence highly penetrative and can easily kill body cells
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
damage to tissue
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
it is more harmful to human, it can destroy any cells and tissues of the body
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
radioactive and can damage tissue with prolonged exposure.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
They are radioactive and cause significant damage to normal tissue cell.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
more radioactive
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
because of gamma ray cause cancer and have high energy
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
because they have a higher penetrating power
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Short wavelength more frequent
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Gamma rays are used in bombs, and x rays are used for medical purposes.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
because I guessed nahhhh waves are smaller and they contain more energy
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Gamma ray is having high penetrating property with very high power (more than 100Kev) with radiation of electromagnetic waves (gamma rays) which produce internal heat and destroy basic structure, which damages the metal , human body tissues if exposing for high time.

because I'm smart
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
much higher energy
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
You have no on and off switch to shut them off and they are much more radioactive than x-rays.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Very radioactive and can cause significant damage to tissue cells
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago

  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
gamma ray are radioactive materia
  • Anonymous . November 2020
Very radioactive
  • Anonymous . March 2021
because it can penetrate through various substances.

In my opinion from working with both X and Gamma the cumulative effects of X-Ray are more scary to me. As soon as people hear that a radio active isotope is used for Gamma they automatically assume Gamma is worse but I have seen the effects of X-Ray permanently killing trees over 100 yards away while Gama did not have the same cumulative effects on nature in the amounts I was using. I am not a doctor and only have my experiential observation of the two leading me to prefer a quick irradiation by Gamma Rays over X-Rays blasting my cells if I have to choose one. Obviously both can kill if not handled and utilized properly.
