Saw both, SOny had flicker and took time to get adjusted after wearing glasses. Samsugn was natural all the way

Because Sony doesn't make plasmas anymore so they focus on future. Samsung is also always so focused tv:s look, and quality is weaker

compared samsung 46 c7000 3dtv vs. sony 46 hx800 3dtv. Samsung wins the asthetic war but Sony pummelled the samsung for 2dhd P-Q! Sound was also better. Samsung d8000 vs. Sony hx823,both 46in. Again sony wins in P-Q but both compare similarly for 3d,this time Sonys monolithic design beats Samsung,with a minimalist design & superb P-Q.Overall Sony wins for 3D P-Q though.
