India or Hindustan or Bharat: Which name is not an official name for India?

Bharat is original and oldest name of our country and also remembers to us our ancestors. We should proud of this name, Jai Bharat.

It ties into the historical status and reach of our land - I think even the romans referred to our country as India. It also illustrates just how globally important India was. So much so, that people were willing to sail into the unknown to fins a better route. As a result, the word India and its derivations can be found all over the USA.

HINDUSTAN NAME IS A OUR LANGUAGE AND THE ENGLISH MAN CALLED INDIA

We keep our child name what we like not that which is recommended by others.So, my country has only one name that is "HINDUSTAN" the land of HINDUS and not india

because the word "India" is definetly official name and the word "Bharat" is used in our national anthem ( 2nd line and 11th line).

India is country of variuos religions, By naming it based on one specific religion, may cause serious issues. I suggest word Hindustan Should be officialy Banned.

Because Hindustan depicts as a place of Hindu whereas diversified religion exist in India. India is also secular country which can not afford the name which points to a particular sect.

Because the constitution of India refers to her as Bharat and India

As we all know hindustan means land of hindus..... and in bharat not only the hindus recide but all other religions be it muslim, christian parsis..and many more. And because india has come from the word indus refering to hindus again, both these names should not be kept as official name.
