The economy needs diversity. I believe the trend of publicly owned business' has created a society that do not care about the product or service rendered due to being a 'stockholder' and not an 'owner'. Quality goes down and inflation keeps going up. As a privately-owned company can control these, I believe private is the way to bring back under control the some of the economic pitfalls we have seen.

I am not really taking into account "this" economy, but simply believe from soul and observation that slow and steady wins the race. The "public" is a heterogeneous, troublesome mix of which the stock-buying kind tend to have more concern on the bottom line, than the all the significant details-and necessary expenses-that create and MAINTAIN it.

More nimble less burocracy . No delusional expectations from employees. The management does not just focus on their bonuses exclusively at the cost of actually getting things done in an organized logical way. Privately owned companies are more customer centric .

With what is considered an expanding market, the need for capital funds is ever so important. The ability to expand with customers needs and of course the ever changing customer market requires companies to be ready to move on capital purchase, which can include new equipment, new technology, or even just building expansion.
