THE TRUTH IS NOT ALWAYS FAIR TO ALL.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Editorial choices: when a newsworthy story negatively impacts the Administration, Fox tends to ignore the story notwithstanding its being a fair story
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
They clearly differentiate between editorials vs true news, they also do broader coverage with multi views, sometimes fox stories are unrecognizable they are so different from other news sourced

CNN brings out the truth about Trump. Fox hides the truth.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
They are not politically biased when compared to fox news
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
That's easy ! it is very obvious!!!!
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
They look at the larger global picture and report pros as well as cons about the president but it just happens that this president is generating more cons. And Fox is geared only for REPs.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Fox is a propaganda outlet for Trump
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because they tell the truth .Fox is not news ,it is a **** magazine .
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because our president is a lier and Fox news thinks he's not
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
CNN is a news outlet with a liberal editorial bias. FOX is a highly partisan propaganda reinforcement organization, that incorporates token liber viewpoints to establish plausible deniability.

I like CNN for their well researched news.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Fox is right wing propaganda.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
CNN reports what is happening in the real world. Fox pushes conspiracy theories, sensationalism, and lies.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Fake news is not news and FOX is the skewed (fake )news leader
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
CNN is more fact-focused and less entertainment focused like FOX. FOX and Trump pander to each other, and I hate Trump, so I don't watch FOX very much. FOX and Trump both cater to the ignorant, unemployed losers because they are so desperate they will believe anything Trump says and FOX reinforces it, no matter if its a lie or not.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Trump has spent his whole life being nothing more than a lieing, cheating, thieving, self-serving, egotistical womanizing racist bigot. He is a yellow-bellied grease sucking draft dodging coward. FOX News loves him and won't allow anybody on any of their shows to challenge their support for Trump. I hate Trump and I therefore hate FOX News. Trump and FOX pander to the ignorant and the uneducated because they can make a good living doing it, not because they are reputable or interested in the facts. I beleive FOX's audience is of a much lower educational level, just like Trump's followers loyal cult base. They believe he can walk on water. Sad. Very sad for the country.

They include less bias than Fox whereas Fox anchors often just recite news stories in their own words without facts or evidence.

Fox is always jaded with the conservative bent, regardless of the truth.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
It's obvious!
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
From what I have heard,Fox News appears to be not much more than a Trump propaganda station. Most of what I have seen on Fox News regarding the white house is just a reflection in Trump's favour of what Trump has recently tweeted.

they show the truth on how president trump lies constantly
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
CNN points out absolute lies from the current administration. Fox News promotes lies from Donald Trump until it's obvious they can no longer get by with it. Donald TRump has told the most lies of any president ever. Even those that were in office 8 years. The Republican party supports him and so does Fox News. I'm not saying there are no lies ever from the liberal left. Just not nearly as many. We need truth from our news media. CNN is way more truthful.

I saw a complete interview of Governor Cuomo on CNN about the number of ventilators needed for treating the projected imminent surge of COVID 19 patients. I later was watching Hannity on Fox where he out right LIED to the viewers about Cuomo needing ventilators for NY and showed a short clip from the CNN interview. The clip didn't show the part where Cuomo was describing the peak need for ventilators. I was shocked and flabbergasted that Hannity was so intentionally misleading his viewers that it frightened me. No wonder there is so much divisiveness in our nation. People should really watch more than one source for news before forming their opinions.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Fox broadcasters are generally not journalists and regularly report Opinions, not news. When news is reported it is very slanted with unsubstantiated information.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Fox seems to be mostly propoganda
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
It's not so much Fox news I dislike as the opinion programs that tout themselves as news broadcasts.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because CNN tells both sides. I have heard them report when Trump does something good. I have heard them report when Obama did something in the wrong. I think they try to report the facts, and yes, they may give their opinions, but they report the facts as they are truthfully.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
CNN puts out facts, they feel, they cry, they go out into the world and talk to real people and listen to the broken, they care. while Fox would rather destroy the innocent, the achiever, the puppy that ran a mile with 3 legs which Fox would say it's a hoax. Fox isn't a news source per say, its more like a spin or propaganda engine geared toward promoting what ever Trump says. A 3 hr corona virus update turns into 3 hrs of misinformation and lies. Between Trump & Fox news there is so much misinformation out there now because of these two entities, that it has the potential to either cause a new kind of illness, if not death. To call Fox a news source is as stupid as calling Late Night with Stephen Colbert - Chris Cuomo; Let's Get After It. It doesn't work..

It's common sense when it comes to Trump. Just listen to what he says live, then watch what he denies or lies about again, Then watch both news channels, The "fake" news is obvious....or so one would think! Common sense is not that common 🙄
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Wanting to educate myself with BOTH sides, I listened to both. Oh how I wish evry single person would do this because like the saying goes, "There are 2 sides to every pancake!" It very quickly became apparent CNN was there with the important stories at hand, while FOX use their programs for political reasons, almost always! Right now...it is NOT about politics! It is about a worldwide pandemic, the likes of which none of us have ever seen. We want the facts, not the trashing of CNN, democrats or liberals. I remain a CNN fan forevermore!
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Fox functions as propaganda arm of trump regime and therefore, like him, is often wrong, requiring correction, whether they offer it or not. The quality of both their news staff and commentators is revealed by their educational background which is almost always second tier.

To call Fox News news is just wrong...it is an opinion show, more in the vein of MSNBC. It is only accurate 40% of the time or less. It once was a reputable news agency, but those days are far removed from today. Besides Trump likes them and we all know the accuracy of his statements.

I feel that FOX news is the voice of the Republican Party. Very little international
news is discussed on a daily basis. And my husband watches it at work and quotes Presidential bashing on a daily basis. Which he loves. He is retired military. He tells me 90 % of all military is Republican and believes as he does. This is why we have been at a " stale mate" for 5 years. Greater than 50% of the people in this country would rather argue than compromise, on anything politics, church and school! **** marriage,. If those people would get off their respective butts and turn off the TV and GO TO WORK. I believe we may be looking at a different US right now. One where we fought for the right things. FOX news just fuels the flames because they are so one sided. My husband informs me that CNN is all lies. I have to watch FOX to get the truth. There is a problem here. Frankly, I don't even turn on the TV anymore. I just wanted to know the basis for my spouses comments.

CNN is obviously the better news service, because it is less biased and Democrats and Republicans can watch without getting insulted. Fox News is a Republican Catholic channel and if you're not one of them, they think you are wrong automatically. They can never be taken seriously.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Fox News plays to its audience of older white conservatives and it has more "editorial" (i.e.- opinion) content.
CNN's audience is roughly balanced between conservatives and liberals, so it provides more balanced coverage.

I am not into politics, and hate the critics on both sides. So. I don't watch Fox or MSNBC. They both should be on from 1:AM to 4:AM nightly.

Fox just seems to be animated and opinionated with their reporting. I just feels they are promoting their own conservative agendas then they are reporting the news. They see to be targeting the conservatively-liberal group of people that responds to their sense of aggressiveness. Almost as if they are trying to prove they're more outspoken or better than any other network. When in reality it all boils down to the network ratings!!

In general, CNN is more objective, there is a more obvious bias in Fox (their guest interviews tend to be very conservative, while CNN frequently includes both liberal and conservative guests to discuss an issue)), and having O'reilly, Hannity, etc., does not help that image. CNN has it's own biased shills as well (Cuomo drips liberal and I think sometimes Smerconish's head will explode some times when he talks about Trump), so neither network is without sin here, I just think Fox is way more overboard.

CNN give information and breaking the news really fast about the event to united states and around the world.

I watch early morning, Fox and Friends / CNN New Day. Fox crew is very weak by comparison and seemingly not as well educated. They seem to focus on and pound a few political points with a lot of the traits you would see in a reality show. CNN much better on actually reporting news, especially international where Fox is exceedingly weak. Both have a political bias, CNN noticeable, Fox overt.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
I tend to believe that if the majority of the main news sources have a similar take on an event or political act etc, it is more likely to be the truth. Fox generally seems to be at odds with everything that the other stations are saying. Lastly, I've watched Fox on occasion and each time the newscaster was out right bashing the "liberals" and democrats. They say it with a VERY snarky spin. If the main stream media at CNN, ABC news etc dared to say 1/2 the things I've heard said by the newscasters and guests on Fox news, the entire conservative base would be on tv talking about discrimination and I don't understand how that is fair. Therefore I do not trust their news, their spin on things.

Fox News in inflammatory, it presents "slanted" news. It does not report fairly nor fully truthful news. I never, NEVER watch Fox News longer than it takes to change the channel. I believe all, ALL news agencies need to stand against Mr. Trump's refusal to take questions from CNN. Freedom of the press is at issue here. Mr. Trump should not be able to "pick and choose" which news agencies he will address as our President. He is free to give his views in responding, but responding is a necessary element of the position

I have been watching both channels and recording both especially lately and to me it is like A team and B team...CNN comes accross as very serious and FOX a lot of time is like a variety show with regular comedians that work there. Easy to see why hardliners of FOX only come across as propagandized. I have relatives that honestly refuse to watch any other news source..I watch them all so I know why people think the way they do. It really helps to accept them vs thinking they have lost their marbles. MSNBC has good stores but are to positive towards liberals..They needs more or any conservatives ...In the end, there should be a truth meter in the corner of all these sources...Good idea?
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
CNN comes across as somewhat anti-Trump... BUT Fox generally finds a way to back-up & credit Mr. Trump's "alternative facts", I wish he (DJT) would buckle down and get to work on serious actions that need his attention.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
I wrongly wrote earlier "CNN is anti-Trump" this statement is an alternative fact" (lie)... I didn't think out what I wrote! What I meant to say is that CNN is mostly trustful and they try to efficiently communicate the news. CNN confronts false claims made by DJT (voter fraud, inauguration day crowd, fake news... I've been closely watching CNN and FOX for the last 2 months. To me CNN is the most honest why because there storie seem to be more complete and informational. The Ancors seem to have a more clear and up to date way of sharing the stories. When they have more than one guest they allow for each to share their opinion and if it turns into an argument they try to control it and it's not controlled they quickly change the subject or go to commercial but the allow all sides to speak. They also seem to get a better more informative guest. I also like the stories CNN share Like Comedy and others. Thank you

I believe the education level of the average viewer for CNN compared to Fox is much higher and the content goes further in depth... To me it seems like the target market for Fox is aimed at an 8th grade level and CNN is aimed at the 12th grade or high education level..

Fox seem to blindly trust trump I really do not like him but even a trump enthusiast would say that this is a partisan news channe. CNN seems professional. I respect that everyone is entitled to an opinion but fox obviously doesn't. At least that is my opinion.

I feel CNN represents more opposing views on any given news item and listen better to their guests. On Fox news, the hosts tend to talk over their guests especially if they have a opinion that is not to their liking. They so obviously hate any kind of liberal and I think sometimes they invite them on just so they can humiliate them. That to me is very unprofessional.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago

Fox has had to retract far more stories than CNN- + Their TOP News Director ( Roger Alies) & Newscaster ( O'Reilly) were forced to retire & pay millions for being knuckleheads. O'Reilly certainly didn't even put up a good fight- just limped off whining to the sidelines.

Lets be honest just one day of viewing FOX news and the lies are easily found. They say they are fair and balanced but most of the time when allowing a more liberal leaning opinion they tend to interrupt the guest. They are retract a FAKE story only when they actually are called out by numerous sources and FACTS and a week after those allegations. They are definitely the NEWS station of the PARTY OF HYPOCRISY.

Fox is more for the White, Racist conservatives. They tend to gang up two conservatives to one liberal while CNN has even number of liberals and conservative views; therefore, we can listen to both sides and not one sided as Fox.

CNN offers more information that can be substantiated and has reliable interviewees from both political parties. They are courteous and allow all to speak and make their point without insults. FOX spews a lot of contentious rhetoric. FOX hosts are obnoxious and won't allow anyone to speak without interrupting. They are extremely rude and hot-headed. I honestly try to tune in and and be objective but am instantly turned off by the constant put downs of anyone who does not agree with their line of thinking. I can only stomach them for all of ten to fifteen minutes. They need to take a deep, calm down, and speak slowly.

Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Ralph Peters, Fox News' military analyst until recently, has publicly said he left Fox News because it has deteriorated under the current adminstration to become a dangerous paranoid propaganda machine that attacks the very institutions a healthy republic requires, energizing a constitutional crisis. CNN is not perfect, but its eye is at least on the ball--current adminstration; and for very good reason it endeavors to hold POTUS and his supporters accountable for policies, words and actions that are destructive--which is the job of journalists, not operate as the mouthpiece of a president who would be king, or operate as state-run news.

Fox News was forced by a court to admit that they are "entertainment", not news, because they ran 4 hours of news daily...the other 20 hours are pundits who are later credited as "our sources say" after they made up stories on their shows. Fox News had been sued by their own reporters for twisting their information about human caused climate change to support the side of ignorance that believes such a thing to be a conspiracy theory.
CNN was known in the 1980's as the source for news and information that was often faster than the CIA or NSA on gathering of international information. They still cover international news better, more accurately, and with far less "spin" also known as lying, despite staff cuts.

One just needs to watch both programs on a regular basis to see that CNN has much more balanced presentations than does Fox, which is why Trump is always so absorbed in Fox News. Trump even makes major policy decisions based on the half-truths and downright lies by many Fox broadcasters. Fox has its “tail on fire”.

CNN more closely matches reporting of other international MSM outlets such as the BBC, Reuters, AP, etc. It's in depth reports are supported by better vetted claims and reliable studies. Fox is more of a propaganda arm of the Republican Party, stressing aspects of its stories that support conservative views, and often citing questionable or distorted information to support them.

Fox seems to not care about the truth as can be seen by Hannity, Limbaugh and others who seem more concerned with pleasing Trump, than actually reporting the news.

I find that CNN's stories are usually verifiable, and when the presentators are only offering their personal opinions, they say so. Fox on the other hand, seems to present everything as fact when a lot of times it isn't it's simply propaganda.

I think CNN has far more sophistication and class in their reporting. CNN is left leaning but I feel they tell far more of the story the majority of the time and often give credit where credit is due. I feel that FOX, on the other hand, leans much further to the right than does CNN to the left and are more likely to twist and/or completely falsify a story. Not all, but far too many FOX reporters support meanness and hatred to any person or situation not as right leaning as they are. Too many just seem to carry on the 'bullying' we are seeing to much of now.

Sadly, Fox and CNN are approaching "tabloid" territory. What will they do after Trump? Of course they could pull a Trump and continue to talk about the past for a few years

CNN broadcasts are so much more objective and balanced than the slanted **** and lies spewed forth by Fox News, especially Hannity and Carlson. They have been schooled in the Joseph Goebbels technique and the Julius Streicher’s Der Sturmer model. Holy cow, I can’t believe Americans suck Fox News’ twisted journalism. It’s the entertainment side of Fox that no doubt appeals to Americans along with their warped world view. CNN has many solid reporters who objectively present current events. But I do criticize CNN’s overly biased, left-leaning, and over-the-top verbose presentations by both Chris Cuomo and his lover side-kick Don Lemon. CNN would not have that liberal stigma as much if it got rid of these two so often obnoxious commentators. Aside from them, overall, CNN has class acts presenting objective and excellent journalism.

Schiff's discourse is of course is worse than embellishments, they are lies, which he later cops to a "parody". He said this only when he was caught and sternly confronted. Of course, CNN gave him a free pass. There are some many more instances where CNN has just spun out outrageous stories, with little fact and narrated to give a complete different meaning. This again is occurring with the closed-doored questionings of Kurt Volcker. CNN reports what statesman Bill Taylor says in a text, but does not report the immediate reply by Gorson Sondland, who corrects Taylor, that Pres Trump made it "crystal clear that there should be no quid pro quo". CNN is the poster news outlet for HYPOCRISY. They have fooled the American people many times, but they cannot fool the American people all the time. That is why their ratings are so low.

I used to watch CNN all the time. But in the past 4 years Not so much. It seems the only thing CNN does all day long is TRASH and INSULT our President no matter what good he has done. With FOX news programing Shannon Breen and Mike Wallace ask tough questions of everybody. On CNN it seems Cooper, Don Lemon, Chuck Todd, and Quomo are only tough on conservative guests, always giving Democrats a pass with questions designed to hear what they want to hear. Fox wisely does not let opinion show hosts like Sean Hannity host the news.. At CNN, in my opinion, all the news anchors are highly opinionated. They journalists simply cannot give us the facts without adding own their personal liberal spin, most of which I find to be increasingly arrogant, condescending, and nasty. These people should have their own opinion talk shows and NEVER be allowed to host news. For example, I don’t need Don Lemon telling me that something Trump says is racist. Why can’t he just Tell us what Trump says or does AND THEN LET THE LISTENER DECIDE ON HIS OWN.what is racist or not. I used to trust CNN before it became an arm of the DNC, I will grant you that Fox News may not always be perfectly fair and balanced. But by default they have become the only semblance of balance we have to offset what I see as the endless liberal “partisan cheerleading” that has taken over CNN and MSNBC.

I really don't think it needs explaining. I have seen so many times where CNN has put something out to be rebuked by other agencies and then it seems to quickly disappear. Although Fox news leans to the conservative side, I find they cover the news more factually . Fox news has people who both criticize and praise Trump. When Obama was president I never saw CNN criticize him. In fact they almost never cover news that is not favorable to the democrat party. They seldom asked Obama. or his press secretary any tough questions. they also seem to either gloss over or do not report at all on how well the country is doing under Trump's watch. So it is not so much what CNN reports that is the problem even though they have had some big false news reports, the problem is what they don't report on.

CNN is only interested in bashing our President. Doesn't matter what he does! CNN reports will always put a negative spin on it. President Trump is not always right but many, many times he is right. It is very hard to find any CNN reporting that puts a positive spin on President Trump. They seem to be on a mission to desroy him. FOX news is then forced to spend most of their time reporting to defend our President, his family and his administration from the many rediculous accusations from CNN and the other liberal reporting in our country. Donald Trump is our duly elected President and I only wish all the media would respect that. Our country is tired of all the negative news reporting from both sides! There is plenty on good news to report rather than to concentrate on the negative!

Fox News is willing to take on both sides and ask hard questions. CNN is purely a democratic organization that only asks the hard questions to Republicans and conservatives. Fox’s talk hosts are definitely right leaning. CNN’s might as well just read press releases from the DNC. I would like to see all reporting done fairly down the center. Talk show hosts are a choice though for each network. However, both could try to find hosts that are completely balanced. They don’t have to be the whole lineup but an hour on each network from a truly unbiased host would help both.

Against the backdrop of the lies from CNN, Fox seems backwards and behind the times, but they are willing to even question Trump or conservatives and keep them in check, CNN is not willing to do that to Dems.

CNN takes whatever information regarding a conservative political candidate and spins it into either exaggerations or lies. Fox News will show the facts of a situation and allow people with liberal, conservative, and moderate leanings to comment. They also allow people close to the situation to give their take on it, instead of relying on second or thirdhand information. Whereas CNN, especially recently, has focused more on liberal leaning opinion based off of a few events, which does not allow for as much discussion and does not let the people involved have a say in what is really going on. I.E. The recent presidential election showed that CNN chose to focus on a few events to share liberal views concerning Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, while Fox News focused on a wider variety of topics involving the election and allowd people from both conservative and liberal standpoints to weigh in on the candidates and events such as the debates.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
CNN as a network is as one sided as Sean Hannity is as a person. I tune them both out. However, I have to admit I am a big fan of Anderson Coopers show, and CNN during election night coverage.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago

  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
Because they are. The recent coverage of the election campaign for the past year is clear proof of that. CNN could not even see how unbelievably biased they were in ALL of their reporting in covering the Democrat vs. the Republican campaigns. That's useless coverage.

  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
I have been a fan of CNN for more than 20 years. Just got introduced and hooked on Fox now. Reason, very disappointed with CNN's coverage of the presidential elections. They just refused to inform the people about what they needed to know to make informed decisions. There was a visible cordon round Hillary while mud was consistently poured on Donald. What happened in the end? He won. You see, truth cannot be covered for long. In this case it popped up soon enough. Hope CNN learns from this because credibility means a lot for their survival.

  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
CNN is extremely **** bent on promoting liberal political agenda. CNN promotes anger and diversity. Fox news has both liberal and conservative sides to their news and views. CNN is only liberal and degrades all that don't think like they do. Fox news has proven to be more accurate and inclusive. Fox news will report all sides of a story, while CNN will report incorrect, bias, information with the utmost liberal views. CNN totally ignores all news that does not support their agenda.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
As an independent voter I have followed both for years.
CNN in my opinion has refused to air any news that could be harmful to a "Clinton" since Bill's presidency.

I used to be a faithful CNN supporter but, I caught them in too many lies and found them to report things out of opinion rather than facts. I had to find another news channel to watch - I couldn't handle seeing a news station become so biased in their reporting. They seem to be angry without reason.

Fox News reports seem to be based on facts instead of biased opinion. They explain things that are happening in a way that makes sense.

CNN is the most liberal biased news on the air today. Followed by NBC, CBS, ABC, and MSNBC. They are the worst and most racist broadcasters on any network. Most of the protesting and rioting the last 3 years is due to CNN broadcasts. They don't even try to broadcast the truth. They just make up stories and try to sensationalize every story or untruth that they can. They are the reason the police in this country can't do their job. They are the reason that the middle class voted this past election. CNN should be fined every time they tell false news or lie to the public. Hopefully, one day they will lose their broadcast license.

  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
I used to only watch CNN. I would occasionally turn to Fox to get their view on similar issues. Over time I realized that Fox consistently reported more news facts then CNN. You have to be a reader and open minded to get to this position. All news should not reflect your view, however Fox comes the closest to the actual news. This could be the result of ratings. Whoever trails in ratings may be feel the need to push their agenda by reporting with a slant instead of sticking with where the facts. This probably helps ratings in the short term, but erodes credibility in the long run. This hurts CNN more than Fox because, both are guilty, but CNN continues almost without fail. Anderson Cooper and Neil Cavuto are the best in my opinion.

Both have there biases but I have never seen Fox silence someone. I say this as a moderate democrat who watches both and Fox has shown both sides of view even though they show more support for one side. I have seen CNN start to do this more as well but given them silencing free speech and all the controversy behind the scenes (debate questions etc.)shows them to be less trustful than Fox. Though both are manipulative and corrupt, if I had to choose one it would be Fox.

I use to like CNN for the most recent news stories. During the presidential election it became obvious that CNN stood for noting more than "Clinton News Network". And spending 90+ percent of air time (excluding commercials) bashing Trump or anyone for that matter gets annoying.

I see so much more variety of news through Fox News. They discuss items that the other networks like CNN do not even touch such as what President Trump is doing for America. CNN focuses more on negative aspects of republicans or conservatives. CNN tends to show much of the same news the other networks show. Issues are happening in the world that CNN will not cover however I find it on Fox News.

Fox reporters/analysts have a far more honest approach to their reporting (although that is mere perception) - and come across as being FAR better prepared, more serious, and (again, by 'far') more intelligent in the manner which they disseminate their reports. Their guests are brilliant; well-informed - and Fox nearly always employs a liberal/conservative panel to debate a particular article of news. I watched NBC, CNN, MSNBC, ABC for many, many years - without bothering with Fox. Since I tuned in to Fox, THERE WAS NO GOING BACK!

CNN focuses on petty topics that a normal good human being would not be interested in. There's so many significant events going on in the world that are of extreme importance to the average American. Watching CNN is like reading the Inquirer. It's embarrassing to see those CNN journalists scraping around to find any morsel of negative, unverified tidbits to gossip about on a major channel in America. Only negative, shallow people could find their gossip interesting. It's very sad. Fake news doesn't just mean phony and made-up. CNN does worse than that! They take a true event and inject it with so many disturbing, untrue twists and turns that by the time they're finished with it, the true story is so perverted that it's unrecognizable.
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
They do more research and feel strongly for what they believe that it why the truth is so important and less stories they aren't in it for the entertainment they are in it for the people not to try and play the one sided game and try to divide but to try to get people to really see the truth .
  • Anonymous . 3+ yrs. ago
I listen to and watch both stations and find that they are very similer in reporting the facts, however, each station leans toward their own political preference. It seems to me that Fox more often balances their opinion that leans right with contributors that lean left. I watch both Fox and CNN, but trust Fox more. I think that the left, in losing the election, have become unreasonably vindictive. This is recognized by the majority of voters more than is believed and this recognition will be reflected in the mid term elections. My suspicion is that many of us who feel this way monitor our phone calls and do not participate in polls. This is why everyone was so shocked by the presidential election results, and it will be why some of us will likely be equally horrified by the mid term results.

I used to watch CNN but I have noticed they are always negative towards the president and are rude when talking to the president which I get they are very liberal and don’t like him but he is the President of the United States and deserves respect no matter what your political leanings are. The News is supposed to be impartial. Fox News leans to the right but there are some news anchors I can’t tell which way they lean. Second of all, I am sick and tired of the “Russian” / “Trump” coverage! The main reason I switch was the inaccurate reporting! Seems they “CNN” are so bias that they are often proven wrong later on but never admit it or apologize for running with a story for 6 months only to be found wrong. The “Fake News” is unbelievable! Yes, they use the words out of POTUS mouth but only sound bites. You watch the same story on Fox and find out it was only part of the sentence and taken out of context. We’re are sick of it! I could go on & on. Anyone over the age of 30 that actually believes that the government can spend our money properly on Health Care has to be a little mentality challenged. Just look at our Social Security Retirement! It’s gone!! Look at health care for our Vets! It’s a disgrace! If socialised medicine is so great, why do people from every country come to the United States to have some surgeries done? I’ll tell you why, a hip replacement surgery for example, is elective in those countries so they can’t get them! If they can, it could be years before they can get in and the surgeons are as good. CNN is on the wrong side here and they won’t look within to see that being truthful would get them more viewers.

I've watched live coverage regarding White House and Presidential events on FOX, mainly because FOX broadcasts them and CNN doesn't, and then tuned to CNN to see their coverage of what I witnessed live. The CNN coverage is often minimal, inacurate, and extremely misleading, and never reports positive aspects of the events. It's obvious to even the casual observer that they detest reporting anything positive about the current administration and often mislead the public.

I used to watch CNN & Fox about 50/50 each, then get scraps from other news sources. Three news papers used to grace my front door weekly. I cancelled every one. Who needs to let a disease in. My opinion is that most news reporting is majority far left any more (the past 10/11 years). To get stronger opposing and more BALANCED opinions I require the FOX SIDE of journalism. A united country would not approve of LIE lynching of the President dozens of times a day. I always get the same answer "I don't like him" as they suddenly realize in conversation they indirectly approve of his performance and some policy. How naive. The USA is very divided, evil, divisive & unjust.I blame the Democrats. I especially regretted Obama's 2nd term yet alone his 1st. What the **** were we thinking??? I will NEVER again vote for any democrat. Not even a split ticket. I am voting with a vengeance. At this point if a black plague consumed the TOP 500 Democrats nationwide you would not see me shed even one tear. I couldn't rejoice but their would be no sadness. I must at this time mention I have walked away!!! walkawaymovement.com #walkaway Let's all hope we still have HOPE.

Although FOX leans right, they do a better job of giving both sided of the issues. CNN is to negative. They're reluctant to report good news because it doesn't meet their agenda of making President Trump look bad. Unfortunately for CNN, most American voters can see right through them. I try to listen to various news agencies just to see how everyone is reporting the same stories and than I deside for myself what to believe. After all, every media has an agenda. However, facts matter and it's up to the individual to deside what's real based on the facts.

Our entire Family Watched CNN for as long as I can remember. I am a college educated retired critical care RN and have voted Democrat my entire life along with most of my family, a few Republicans. Oddly enough the entire family voted twice for Obama and similarly odd the entire family voted for Trump. A reckless driver January 4, 2016 changed my life, having said that without that accident I never would’ve had the time to watch the amount of TV that I watched recuperating from many injuries. When watching CNN MSNBC and Fox I was confused as I believe many people are. It led me on a personal quest to research for the truth, I’ve never said this before in my life a person with my personality it’s not easy but when I watched Brandon Straka on Life liberty and Levine Sunday night and every word he said should be listened to very carefully by the Democrats because those are my words. When I listen to him the second time I was really surprised every thing he said everything he said I agreed with exactly I’ve never done that my entire life over anything. Please before you call me a racist and all those other names I was raised in a multicultural family my grandmother was Hispanic my grandfather Maltese My cousin through marriage of Pakistan decent and I could go on and on . President Obama divided this country unlike I’ve ever seen it divided before now what you see are those same people that voted for President Obama now voted for President Trump we don’t believe democrats anymore, nor half of the Republicans we believe in Trump’s vision for America that is exactly why we voted for President Trump. have a blessed day

I can almost hear the back room discussions on which stories to publish and which to leave out...

Sad that they allowed themselves to be blatantly misleading.

CNN tends to conflate opinions with facts, thus making the extraction of factual data very difficult, if not impossible. Fox's opinion spokespeople (on TV) are clearly identified as such. It's news anchors are a combination of fairly liberal (Shepard Smith), down-the-middle (Neil Cabuto) and fairly conservative (Elizabeth MacDonald) spokespeople. You pretty much know the "slant" from which you prefer to hear news based on Fox's time slot. CNN? All liberal, all the time.

CNN is clearly anti Trump. Nobody can deny that. FOX was always fair and balanced with coverage of Obama. Obama is a racist. He made that clear when he interjected himself into racism in Florida and Ferguson. Both of those times he came out on the wrong side of justice. And remember, he brought his racist AG with him.

CNN hides the actual facts in every story, they sensationalize whatever the topic to the point of being fake news. Fox News focus on the fact whether it favors Trump or not Fox reporters are consist and tell the true story regardless of their political views. Just compare the 2 networks on any topic and you'll find the obvious truth.

I have listened to both news stations reporting on the same subject. FOX looks at the whole issue, while CNN takes snippets out and changes the meaning of a speech or statement.
CNN always points fingers, but I never hear any suggestions to make it better. They have politicians on there that only criticize, but still.....no suggestions for improvement.

CNN seems to be full of haters and doesn't follow logic, As for Fox News they too have much to improve but at least one can follow the logic. Both do have an agenda and that's where one must stay out of the weeds and look at the facts and draw the conclusion of the facts from the story for yourself. As an engineer our saying is that "in God we trust everyone else bring your data".

Major stories/scandal's reported by CNN turn out to be proven false/fake. Hundreds of alleged incidents reported by CNN are never truly investigated, but are pushed on TV as fact. Eventually these hundreds of allegations are allowed to fade away because they are just rumors created to cause disfavor in the person being reported upon. I now associate CNN as a fake new factory. Fox News also pushes/stresses similar unproven stories, but not nearly as much as CNN. MSNBC and simar quote news services generally "parrot" the same "hot button keyword", thereby proving to be they are just following their "master" ideas and political agenda. CNN edits out views opposing its communist narrative
  • Anonymous . April 2021
Because CNN doesn't report the full news only the portions that relate to radical leftist views.
  • Anonymous . September 2020
I watched coverage of the same story on both networks. The story was about newly released body cam footage of the George Floyd arrest and his subsequent death. On Fox, they showed footage where one of the officers stated, "Shouldn't we roll him over, he is having trouble breathing" (this may not be an exact quote from memory, but it is close). This footage would make it appear that at least one officer had empathy for Floyd's condition and tried to help him. CNN covered the same story of the released body cam footage, but failed to show this part of the body cam footage. As such, I think this was an unfair editing of the footage and only showed the portions that supported CNN's story line that supported what their prime audience wanted to see and hear. This is just one example of biased coverage that CNN typically shows. On the other hand, I will complement CNN for showing more unedited coverage of the Republican Convention than FOX

CNN is fake news. The Russian hoax is one of hundreds of stories that led their small audience on to believing a lie. They have had to retract an untold number of stories that werez proven to be absolutely wrong. They are so focused and hateful towards our president that they rush to put out stories based on anonymous sources that have no basis in fact.
Fox News seldom has to retract their messages as they fact check before they go to the air with their topics. Typically they will say, we have not yet validated this when going to air with a breaking store. Fox had tons more credibility than CNN, that’s why their ratings bury CNN. The Cartoon Network has more viewers than Fake News CNN.

CNN has proven to be wrong about many topics: masks, Russia’s relationship with Trump, and they still support Fauci who told us last year in March that masks are not needed. They have lost credibility. Their reporter was caught admitting they intentionally brought in guests who they knew would trash Trump. Joy, Chris Cuomo, Stellar, Lemon, Jake, etc. became too rude, angry and biased for my taste. I switched to Fox and was surprised to see so many different points of view. They want their viewers to hear both sides, unlike CNN. Hannity is an ideologue, but 90% of CNN reporting is of an ideologue nature. I doubt that CNN will survive after their willingness to spin the truth for ratings unless they make changes. I do enjoy CNN’s documentaries, and soft pieces, but as far as national and international news, I will watch Fox. CNN’s rating are plummeting and it’s because of people like me who could no longer listen to hate spewing hour after hour each day. CNN hasn’t always been so biased. I was a viewer for years, and gradually saw a network with reasonable ideas, theories, and points-of-views turn into a pessimistic, vindictive, and closed-minded platform.

Don't lie. Don't Reprimand their viewers. CNN want adults to watch their news, yet adults are constantly being reprimanded for various things that CNN are prejudicial about. I don't care about their personal opinions. CNN needs to get back to the basics and just report the news, all the news, in an unbias way. The so called reporters need to go back to their notes from college and remember what they were taught. They are poor examples of news reporting.
