Bit.ly made changes that are cumbersome
TinyURL will shorten the customurl like mailto://info@iphonedevelopertips.com but bit.ly cant.
Simpler is always better - I don't want to have to log in to track links - I just want to have one-click link shortening.

My default browser is Mozilla's Firefox. There's a Firefox add-on that enables me to create a TinyURL by adding it to my right-click context menu. No need to register with a website, although I have no real objection to that because registration is free.
