dopamine triggers the reward response, causing happiness.
Serotonin regulates moods and actions while dopamine is like a reward in a way. If you have too much or too less of serotonin, it's a bad thing. But with dopamine, people take drugs such as Cocaine in order to feel that burst of euphoria. Girls like chocolate when they're sad, because the dopamine they get from eating the product rises dopamine, to make them feel better. The ultimate suggestion after a bad breakup.
Because I have ADD and when my dopamine levels are high I'm at my best.
its the love drug
Science.
serotonin after about 6 months left me with no highs or lows, just a constant state of ambivalence.
I guessed
Cause stone cold said so
Dopamine, or at least how I categorize it in my feeble, non-neuroscientest mind, is like the engine for overall function of the mind. If you can regulate dopamine, be it excercise, work, financial gains, etc. This should permit for better serotonin regulation. Say I wake up from a solid sleep cycle, eat breakfast lunch and dinner, and then have a great jog, serotonin should release at proper times and will regulate say, me being able to fall asleep comfortably and thus being able to prepare for the next day.
Motivation
It affects mood and feelings of euphoria
Drugs that act on the dopamine pathways are much more addicting. That is because the people feel much more euphoric and happier
I have both ADD & SAD and Wlbutrin is making a pretty big difference . Where as anti depressants tend to make me paranoid & my mood black.
dopamine relates to the motivation and reward centers of the brain and serotonin may relax impulse control
Dopamine is a primary driver for pleasurable activities such as eating, **** and compulsive behaviors-rewards for behavior!
Reward system
NOT SURE
It puts you in control of yourself.
Based on the explanation above that it has to do with the motivation and reward system of the human brain this leads me to believe that happiness would be a good motivating force for humans.
because dopamine makes happy feelings of reward.
Shrug
because it is responsible for feelings of pleasure and reward which in turn makes us feel happy
