Maidenform is sold in department stores and actually maidenform makes a lot of victoria's secret bras..

Victoria's secret bras are expensive and flamboyant bras are geared towards special occasions. Maidenform bras are more comfortable and the smooth seamless styles can be worn with more tops. The price is also more pocket friendly. VS are like gowns and club wear. Maidenform is for everyday life (school, work, home, relaxing week ends).

As a guy, I don't know anything about Bras, but it seems like VS is just more widely distributed. I'm a huge fan of Maidenform underwear (bottoms), and really enjoy it when they come up in my underwear rotation. Their stuff is just so nice, so I hope they catch up with VS/Limited, but as of now, I think VS sells much more.
