I had allergies as a child & do well with histamine blockers...such as Benadryl..Also, I have been blessed with a sensitive stomach and delicately balanced ecosystem>Me *I would prefer to take an antacid which will not rock the boat...{Pump-Inhibitor) Especially if it fills with water_lol- P.s.-Histamines work as a anti-inflamatory..In my case. I cured my gastritis many years ago.
It seems as if it takes my heartburn away right away opposed to the other ones.
No side effects, very effective and also store brands are economical.

Zantac is much calmer on my stomach with less side effects. Nexium helps but has awful side effects.

fear of bone fractures in Prilosec Pharmacist told me not to take more then 3 to 4 weeks can occure a year latter I am 68 50 is the warning age.

If i forget to take the medicine, i cough all day long. When I was prescribed Zantac, i noticed reduced coughing when I remembered to take it. When I switched myself to Prilosec, the coughing completely stops.

Nexium from india seems to not work well, ulcer pains. Zantac is allegedly inferior to ppi drugs, but works well for me. Barrets esophagus demands results.

I had horrible ulcers in my esophagus. After being treated with Nexium they all healed. I have been on Nexium for almost eight years and will probably have to be on it the rest of my life, which conerns me.
I took Prilosec for 10 yrs. and was continually getting bladder infections. I found that Nexium has as added ingredient so I switched to it. After I changed to Nexium I no longer got bladder infections. A small change in ingredients but very effective. Amazing !

I've been taking Nexium for over 10 years and never had any problems. The others at times don't seem to last more than 24 hours. With Nexium I can often skip a day.
