I have bought and consumed much champagne and the beautiful Dom Peringnon is the superior champagne ~ just superb ~ my late husband introduced me to fine champagne and that was his favourite as well ~ thanks
It was my very first taste of Champagne 38 years ago.
Although I actually prefer the Perrier Jouet, the name Dom has become synonymous with fine Champagne... in the U.S. at least... much like Rolex is considered by most to be a finer watch than say a Patek Philippe, which is about as true as saying Dom is a finer wine than PJ. (which is not true at all)

Dom Perignon is more well known. I personnaly prefer Perrier Jouet though.

I heard of it long before I had heard of Perrier Jouet, and Dom also is synonymous with luxury.
I love and drink Perrier Jouet. Unfortunately not many people know the name well not here in Australia anyway. it is always a search to get it. If you ask anyone about champagne they will answer Dom Perignon. I have been given a bottle of Dom 2006 vintage, I am looking forward to opening it soon.
