Commonwealth has fewer members
i've never heard of the commonwealth games before now.
Olympics is ancient yet still going and it`s worldwide Commonwealth Games is newer and smaller

Because it is a world-wide competition and it can be shown world-wide on the television.
But the Commonwealth games, it is shown only to the nations and territories who are competing in the Commonwealth on the television.
This is why, I chose the Olympics.....
