Tamil is one of the oldest languages of India and is the first language to be declared as a classical language by Govt of India. Infact a lot of Telugu words are seemingly derived from Tamil. No doubt Telugu is the Italian of the east but most of the Telugu words have a common tamil heritage as well

A language is called greatest if it helps its ppl to exhibit all emotional and intellectual traits.Tamils language has evolved by itself unlike telugu which is evolved from tamil and sanskrit.Tamil has rich literatures and traditions.
U ppl Hear all Tamil to telugu dubbed songs, can u produce any one like A.r.Rahman or Ilayaraja.Or anyone can create a equivalent movie like Endiran in ur telugu.
We gave u ppl Tirupathi so that atleast ur state get some revenue for ur livelihood.Chennai(mamallapuram) was the capital of Tamil pallava kingdom from ancient times.Remember a guest cannot be the owner of the house.
Tamil is so sweet to hear and it is one of the oldest laguage and to most say it is the mother of all languages and it is way older then any language out there.

I live in Chennai,once I spoke to a telgu person who has come here for education....jus to make him comfortable and speak friendly I said tat I hav many telgu speakin friends and also told tat many IT professionals in t.n are telgu ppl.... for tat he said smiling "then say tat telgu ppl has occupied Tamil nadu" again he laughs......such is his stupidiy....
Both Telugu & Tamil are excellent languages just like all other languages. Probably due to the rich ancient literature Tamil will stand ahead of Telugu, whereas due to non-distribution Telugu is intact and centred in a large single location, thus Telugu language and the people have greater political control thus not affected by external forces like ones happening to Tamils eg. Sri Lanka. I mean, three match sticks can be broken individually, but not so easy together. Telugu is thus a single political entity, but, Tamils suffers through its distribution.
