good sales, good quality with reasonable prices.
Its cheaper, better service and employee arent that stockups
Lower prices, great discounts with the coupons, and friendlier atmosphere
it has cheaper price and good quality
so much better
jc peny is more practical in sales than macys. i understan there is a different quality in clothing and etc. But in the end quality will always out stand the macys.
Because I shop at j penney alot because of the sales, as well as most people. The lines are long however the cashiers are fast, and they get you out with a smile. jc penney in Wayne, NJ is a very pleasant place to shop, and the workers are very nice, as well as kind.
not everyone has the money to spend at macys, there is much to say for the lower prices jcpenney provides
because in the economy right now, JC Penny is cheaper than Macy's
Because personally, I do more of my shopping here. You just get more better deals from JC Penney than you do Macy's. Macy's is a bit overpriced on a lot of their items.
Because of the lower prices and better quailty clothing reagrdless of its designer label. At Macy's most of theie better guality clothing is dependent on it's brand name.
Since Economy's down, people seem going to JcPenny more often.
JC Penney appears to have more stores in both large retail market areas as well as small areas. Not to mention a more routine shopping market in smaller areas.
more locations
Cheaper stuff for younger crowds.
The lower prices with the same quality
Penny's is in all different sized towns across America; Macy's just in large cities. Also Macy's took over many hometown department stores Rich's, Burdines, FamousBarr making people in those markets VERY ANGRY.
JCPenney's frequesnt "free shipping" offer for their online stores is a BIG plus. Their website is also SO much easier to navigate, browse & selectons is pretty good across the board.
Macy's website on the other hand is not very user friendly at all. Their shipping charges is a BIG minus point.
Friendlier staff at JCPenney. They seems to be a happier bunch. At least at Emerald Square Mall in Attleboro, MA. Compare to staff at Macy's, they overall seems like robots. Just saying the taught CS line but doesn't really sound like they mean it.
I get better value for my mne a JC Penney too. At the end of the day, I just need clothes that looks & function good for my family. A towel is a towel. A bedsheet is a bedsheet, etc. I guess I dont emphasise on brand much. Also, how come playtex bra us cheaper at JCPenney than at Macy's? They are BOTH located in the same mall!
I don't know many people besides me who shop at Macy's
jcp is stepping up into an apple jcrew hybrid check it out and their new fit is kinda tailored
Because it has more fashion and more customers
Mainly when asked to many of my friends "where they got that shirt, pants etc. " it is almost always JC Penny
Because J C Penney is a better store to shop at.
THEY SAID THEY ARE MORE FOCUSED ON YOUNGER COUSTEMERS THEIR ARE MORE YOUNG THAN OLD
lower prices, good quality, availability
lower prices
Lowr prices
Pricing
i have stock with jc penny.
I do not like that creep macys. It finished all old good department stores: Lazarus, Robinsonsons, MarshalFields which way better than Macy's. Macy's has no style, most merchandise made in china with desgner stickers.
better customer service
LESS EXPENSIVE THAN MACY'S. BUT I WOULD RATHER SHOP AT MACY'S.
lower price more customers - but it doesn't mean better company
Lower prices.
Jcpenney has good deals and ythe coupons are back the quality of their products are exellet. I am happy whith their products, and the store its modern and very organized ,good custumer services every time .
more store locations
Jcpennys seems to be a better choice for people because its less expensive
JCPenny has 25% more stores than Macy's dose. JCPenny is a great company that have lost touch with their day to day bread and butter custombers by hireing Ron Johnson from Apple. JCPenny stores took on alot of debt to restructer and rebrand and put themselves at odds with their custombers by removing coupons.
From a marketing point of view there were huge mistakes in the pricing strategy by Ron Jonsons team. First buying, is a form of expression and reinforces self worth. If you cant feel good about buying something and feel like youve been had, you wouldnt want to buy anything from the place. Buying something thats worth $100 that you were able to get for $50 makes you feel smart and in charge. Buying something for $50, with nothing but the guarantee thats its the lowest price, makes you feel cheap.
