C# makes fewer assumptions that the programmer is stupid, unlike Java. Additionally, Java enforces ridiculous rules under the guise that doing otherwise is "bad practice," whereas C# is more flexible in its design rules and even allows certain "unsafe" practices (such as direct pointer access) to allow experienced and intelligent programmers more flexiblity. In other words, where Java tries to be C++ for dumb people (by dumb people), C# tries to be an easy language to speed up development for experienced and inexperienced programmers alike by including useful features for both.

It seems that *unchecked exception* will eliminate the burden of programmers at the first glance, but it is a major source of hiding bugs of software which will require more resources, including programmers' time, to debug them, otherwise it will result in an unstable version of applications.
