The New Zealand accent is jarring and discordant with a whiny tone. Somer versions are nice though. There are also some bad versions of the Australian accent but I generally like it or love it.

The swapping of vowels is annoying and is a distraction from what they are trying to say. Sometimes you don't know what they are saying. I was just listening to a woman talking about 'ligs', I thought. She was talking about legs. The trouble is that that sound so much like Australians, except for the vowel swapping, that you are are expecting the words to be recognisable, but it's often not the case.

In the New Zealand accent, "pen" sounds like "pin", "Peggy" sounds like "Piggy" and "ferry's deck" sounds like "fairy's ****". I rest my case.

Australian accents sound like a long drawl, as if they're trying to be so laid back that they can't bother speaking clearly. The New Zealand accent is far more clipped and sometimes mistaken for one from rural England.

the Ausralian accent has an annoying 'twang' to it, and the New Zealand accent has the more pleasent sounding word 'chance' more like british english whereas the australian english has a sound more like american english for words like advance, chance, dance, stance,

Australians seem to be lazy in pronouncing their words. For example every Australian I have ever met say cen-a instead of center! They don't pronounce the T .
That would be one of the most annoying words I hear!

Some Australian accents can sound pretty harsh to the ear and very clipped. Some NZ accents can be quite lilting and pleasant. And I have a cultural bias: I always preferred to play rugby with and against Kiwis any day than 'roos.
