It's not as nasal sounding. That said, I like Aussie accents too.
I merely think it sounds more pleasant.
No one in New Zealand has ever pronounced fish and chips fush and chups, thats a load of ****! also why cant Australians pronounce the word six correctly?
Flight of Conchord group made it a nicer accent
Australian accents sound like a long drawl, as if they're trying to be so laid back that they can't bother speaking clearly. The New Zealand accent is far more clipped and sometimes mistaken for one from rural England.
I think New Zealand accents are gorgeous!!
i'm a kiwi :P
because it sounds smother
Flight of the Conchords! Their accents sound much more elegant than Australians.
Australian accents sound too bogan.
I'm Australian and I dislike our accents.
Like yes, it does have more character than the Kiwi accents, I just think it sounds a bit too bogan for my liking. Especially Julia Gillard's accent - now that's horrible!
I still love Australia though <3
FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS
It's not as harsh, it sounds gentler, more inviting.
the Ausralian accent has an annoying 'twang' to it, and the New Zealand accent has the more pleasent sounding word 'chance' more like british english whereas the australian english has a sound more like american english for words like advance, chance, dance, stance,
Australians seem to be lazy in pronouncing their words. For example every Australian I have ever met say cen-a instead of center! They don't pronounce the T .
That would be one of the most annoying words I hear!
I know someone from New Zealand and they have a cool voice.
I'm a kiwi
I saw the light of course through the comedy of Flight of the Conchords
I'm a New Zealander
Sounds more pleasing to the ears
tru blu kiwi **** dem ozzy ****
Aussie accent sounds cheap.
The australian accent is nasal and uncouth sounding
Im a NZder, why else?
Im kiwi hence biased!!!
Some Australian accents can sound pretty harsh to the ear and very clipped. Some NZ accents can be quite lilting and pleasant. And I have a cultural bias: I always preferred to play rugby with and against Kiwis any day than 'roos.
Australian accent sounds harsh Nz is softer
The drawn out vowel sounds of the Australian accents are irritating, and they make Australians sound not very bright
I find it more pleasing to my ears.
Flows more smoothly from the mouth, relaxing in a way difficult to describe orally but to sum it up in one word: euphonious.
cuuuuuute
I'm an Aussie, I like the Kiwi accent because it's 'defrent'
I have it xd
The worst example of an Australian accent sounds more grating than the worst example of a NZ accent, however there are huge variations in both
Australians sound more nasaly
Because I like it new zealand
More understandable
