Writing and illustration is far superior. I get both and i find myself just flipping through espn while i read SI cover to cover.
Sports Illustrated has articles about even the oddest sports that are out there. So, by far Sports Illustrated has better all over coverage.
It has better topics and current issues
Better better writers getting better access. Smarter too.
